Driving Development through Practical Innovation: Beijing ZJS Invited to Attend the 2026 National Sulfonation Technology Symposium and Deliver a Special Report
The “2026 (13th) National Sulfonation/Alkoxylation Technology and Market Symposium” was successfully held on August 13, 2026, in Huairen, Shanxi. At the invitation of the conference, General Manager Zhai Hongzhi of our company delivered a special report titled “Practical Innovation to Promote the Advancement of Sulfonation Technology.”
The report systematically presented our company’s technological achievements across two major areas:
Industrial Sulfonation Product Development – This section covered the R&D and application of a range of industrial sulfonation products, including petroleum sulfonates (WPS), cobalt sulfonated phthalocyanine, and sulfonation refining of hydraulic base oils, fully demonstrating our company’s accomplishments in the field of industrial sulfonation product development. Among these, the application of petroleum sulfonate (WPS) products in tertiary oil recovery (enhanced oil recovery) can increase crude oil recovery rates by 15%–20%, making a positive contribution to national energy security.
Sulfonation Technology Improvements – This section highlighted innovative breakthroughs in key equipment and processes, including the “ZJS third-generation multi-tube film sulfonation reactor,” dioxane removal technology, trackable electrostatic demisters, and “static aging exchange + dynamic hydrolysis.” Notably, the ZJS third-generation multi-tube film sulfonation reactor has achieved significant results in pressurized return water circulation, enhanced heat exchange efficiency, improved product quality and production capacity, inhibition of dioxane formation during the sulfonation process, and resolution of challenges associated with sulfonating highly exothermic and volatile feedstocks. It also offers tailored solutions to meet specific customer requirements. Our company’s dioxane removal technology ensures that the dioxane content in SLES products is controlled below 5 ppm, and can even be reduced to less than 1 ppm upon customer request.
This symposium served as a high-level technical exchange platform for China’s sulfonation/alkoxylation industry.
